For a suggested donation of $30*, SAIC is asking each employee in all US offices coast to coast to step outside just once during the month of March and walk for one hour in honor of our fallen colleagues. You have 2 ways to join:
- Virtual walk: Join a virtual walk at a time, date, and location of your choosing throughout the month of March.
- In-person Live Event: Join our in-person walk at our live event on 22 March 2024 at 12 noon from our SAIC Reston HQ.

To take part virtually, you can walk with colleagues during your lunch break or after work, organize your own group, or walk with your family at home…whatever is easiest for you!
To take part in the In-person Live Event at SAIC Reston HQ building at 12010 Sunset Hills Road on March 22nd at 12 noon, participants are welcome to start and end in the SAIC parking lot and walk on the W&OD trail nearby or walk around the SAIC vicinity for 1 hour. This walk is weather permitting. Watch for updates on this page for changes. If participating in the in-person, live event, please check the box when you register.
Please note: The in-person event is for SAIC employees only, but all are welcome to participate in a virtual walk.
* While $30 is the suggested donation, we welcome donations of any amount. Thank you again for participating!
The Foundation’s enabling legislation states that the Memorial will be entirely funded through private contributions, providing the opportunity for citizens to invest in this historic effort.
